We all love travel ball for so many different reasons, but at the top of that list is the competitivness and the level of talent you compete against week in and week out. Recreation league All-Star’s are as American as apple pie. The civic pride and community bragging rights are off the charts. We believe it’s time the two met each other. Got’Em Baseball has initiated the introduction. Got’Em Baseball presents “Kings of the Code” Area Code Games.
The Vision
Got’Em Baseball’s 1st Annual “Kings of the Code” Area Code games are based in concept on the Area Code games that started in Lodi, California 26 years ago and have now blossomed into the highest regarded high school talent tournament in the country. Our vision however is to get the top youth student athletes ages 11U-15U from different regions (Area Codes) to compete in a Who’s Who of travel ball. When we are done we will have created the most anticipated regional event that will feature the highest level of youth baseball Northern California has to offer. Our annual “King’s of the Code” Area Code tournament will draw the best student athletes from as far north as Redding and as far south as Fresno. These Area Code Teams will compete for the “Crown” and bragging rights that their Area Code has the deepest pool of talent in Northern California. In layman’s terms the All-Stars of travel ball.
What are “Kings of the Code” Area Code Games?
The “Kings of the Code” Area Code games will consist of five or six area code team playing in a three game guarantee tournament held in October. The teams will be split by age and by area code. We plan on having teams from 510, 925, 209, 916, 707, 831 and 530. Players MUST play on the area code team where they reside. We are hoping to field four age divisions 11U, 12U, 13U and a 14/15U. Imagine if you will how fun and competitive of a tournament we can have if the best players from the 925 squared off against the best player from the 209. What about 707 vs 916. 408 vs 831. Clearly the competition and civic bragging rights will be off the charts. Not to mention the winning players and teams actually getting “Crowned” as Kings of the Code.
